Bonsai specimen Juniperus chinensis, 52 years. Juniper tree. This bonsai has a strong, twisted nebari with dead wood that adds an interesting visual drama. Its trunk is quite twisted at its base and then lightens its curves as it rises. It has a good taper, and jin and shari details throughout the entire length of the trunk. The foliage is abundant from the second third of the tree. Generating many design possibilities, it can be from a Moyogi, to a Sakkan or a Fukinagashi.
