Buxus sempervirens. Bonsai 10 years. Common box. These trees, for their characteristics, should be located outdoors. They are ideal for balconies, gardens and terraces. Evergreen tree or bush. Commonly used in gardening.

Location: It must be placed outdoors, in full sun, all year round.

Watering: Abundantly in summer and in moderation in winter.

Curiosities: This tree can leave for hundreds of years, up to 500 years. Its wood is very hard and compact, of yellow colour and very appreciated to produce flutes, pipes, spoons and hafts for tools. Nowadays it is vastly exploited, therefore it is difficult to find old trees. One of the few places we can still find Buxus in wild nature is in some protected areas like the National Park of Ordesa (Huesca) where there are 6 metres tall trees.
