Serissa phoetida. Bonsai 6 years. Tree of a Thousand Stars or Snow rose. The so-called indoor trees are mostly trees from tropical origins, that do not support low temperatures. We must place them indoors, always close to a source of natural light. The Serissa is an evergreen shrub. It is also known as the Tree of a Thousand Stars due to the number of tiny white flowers that blossom during the summer season.

Location: Ideally in a Mediterranean climate, outside in the sunshine during summer. In colder climates always protect from very low temperatures and avoid freezing.

Watering: Watering should be moderate. Excess watering can cause yellowing and dropping of leaves.

Curiosities: When you prune the tree a nauseous smell is emitted, especially from the roots, giving the name of phoetida, fetid.

Dimensions in centimeters approx. (width x depth x height): 23 x 17 x 30 cm

Note: The shape and measurements of the bonsais are approximate. The colour and shape of the pot may vary from that of the photo. A bonsai is a living being. The images that appear are non-binding illustrative pictures.
