Location: It accepts all kinds of climates but prefers a sunny situation during the whole year. In summer it’s recommended to protect against strong sun of noon and even though it resists frosts well, it’s better to protect against temperatures below –2ºC.

Watering: Abundant in summer and in moderation in winter. Take care not to wet the flowers.

Curiosities: It’s flower, his very fragrant during twilight, therefore the insects responsible for its pollination, are active in this moment of the day, which is a good example of symbiosis.

Dimensions in centimetres approx. (width x depth x height): 30 x 23 x 42

Note: The shape and measurements of the bonsais are approximate. The pot is included on the dimensions. The colour and shape of the pot may vary from that of the photo. A bonsai is a living being, so the vegetative state of the plant changes according to the season. The images that appear are non-binding illustrative pictures.

Fertilisation

From spring to autumn with the organo-mineral fertiliser Hiryo Gold or the fast acting fertiliser Nutribonsai. Do not fertilise during flowering, fertilise once there is fruit.

Transplant

Every 2 years, at the last days of winter or early spring. After that, it is recommended to water with Mistral Bonsai's Vitabonsai invigorator to help the tree's recovery.

Soil

Terrabonsai. Special soil for bonsai. It will satisfy the water and nutrient needs, enhancing the root development and general vigour. Other substrates can also be used, like a mixture of 60% Kiryuzuna + 40% Akadama, that promotes the growth, although it will require more frequent watering.

Pinching

. When the shoot has reached 4 to 6 pairs of leaves cut off leaving 1 or 2 of them.

Wiring

. It can be done all year round, but take care in spring, when growth is faster, as it can leave a mark on the bark.
