Evergreen tree or tree of deciduous leaves. Very appreciated for the formation of hedges because after a drastic pruning it is very vigorous.


Location

In Mediterranean climate areas, outside in full sun throughout the year. In colder areas, to be protected from frost.

Abundant in summer and in moderation in winter.

Curiosities

The black-red juice of the fruits is utilized to colour and sometimes to modify the colour of the wines, to give them the appearance of a mature wine.
