Characteristics

Deciduous tree with a slow development. Its shape is adapted for a broom style, and its bark much appreciated. Blooms in summer with beautiful white bell-shaped hanging flowers.


Location

Outside in full sun all year.


Watering

Abundant in summer and moderate in winter.


Fertilization

In spring and fall.

Re-potting

Each year, at the beginning of the spring.

Substrate

100% Akadama, or mixed with a 20% of organic gravel.


Pruning and pinching

Pruning

During the growing period.

Pinching

When the new shoot has grown to 6 to 8 pairs of leaves, cut down to 1 or 2 pairs of leaves. The defoliation can be total or partial.

Wiring

Throughout the year, better in spring.
